Cant wait for updates. Now you just need to build a dating feature and "favourite hookup spots" feature! :)
Great inspiration to get riding!
Well Done and very detailed.
Finally some one did it after me thinking "why hasnt someone done an app for Squish trails?". Good work! Its a bit spendy for what it is. Although I love being able to finally put a place to the names I find it a bit frustrating to search for trails by names. The index of trail names is formatted in "easy/medium/hard" format and you cant type in a name to search. And as a local, you often dont care about easy/medium/hard but you do want to find out where the new [insert trail name here] is. The lack of detail/interface with google maps is also frustrating. You can only zoom in so far so from a functionality point of view its hard to tell where you are on the trail. Overall, this app is worth $1.99, not $9.99 but I look forward to the updates and hope the value-for-money follows.
A must have for mountain bikers and hikers recreating in the Squamish area. Exceptional detail and accuracy. I love the GPS assist and compass, shows me where I am at all times and super quickly. I will never get lost or turned around again. Looking forward to future locations like Whistler and the North Shore. Great Job TrailMapps!
Cant seem to get this app working on os 4 which is dissappointing for the $ i just dropped on it... HELP!!
Excellent! Thanks from a Squamish resident.
This app is beautiful and the map is very easy to read. So for my $10, Id like to see more features: check off trails Ive done; zoom out as far as I want; toggle between sat map and trail map....
Great app. GPS locator worked really well and was accurate enough to know where you are. Would be useful to have trail descriptions so you know what youre getting into (steep, technical, stunts, jumps, XC, downhill, etc.)
Great app and really useful.... Please can you put the trail direction indicators in, as on the paper map.....save heading up a down when exploring! Would be even better if my iPhone worked when wearing my gloves! Thanks.
Could do with descriptions of the trails or even directions for how to get to the trail heads. For the money a retina display update is a reasonable expectation.
Great app. but needs to be updated with the 2011 maps. Quite a few trails not on there and no direction markers on downhill trails.
Really useful app for someone learning the trail network in this area. I highly recommend, my only reservation is that the map needs updating.
It is nice to be able to find trails I keep hearing about with just a touch of an iPhone, but my location Is not able to be found. It is so hard to figure out how to get to some of these trails when I cant figure out my location in comparison to the start of these trails. Does anyone else get an error reading? What am I doing wrong and how can it be fixed? Not really worth 10 without this feature IMO, I ended up using google maps for free instead.
I got fed up buying the paper map and never being able to find it when I needed it, so thought this would solve that problem. Works well but a bit expensive which put me off buying for a while. Trails need to be updated to show all the new trails - I think the app is lagging behind the paper version. New updates are great - keep them coming!
This app is well worth the investment for the GPS factor alone. Being unfamiliar with the trails, we found the app very helpful for staying on track. A must for anyone new to the area.
This is my second review and I continue to love this app. Just wanted to send a quick correction to my last review. I had suggested adding distances and a trail description to the search screen and just realized that its already there ... Just have to click the little arrow beside the name (duh). Anyways, BUY THIS APP!!! Just got the Whistler one as well...
This is a great app but is in need of an update. The hard copy of this are has been updated in April 2014 but the app has not been updated for 6 months.
The physical wooden SORCA maps on the trails are more up to date then this app. Riding these trails you will see trails that are long established but absent from the app. Just check the map at the top of Half Nelson. Fail.
